Job summary

Capital Group is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to architect and build the backbone of our cloud ecosystem. You will empower thousands of engineers with automation, tooling, and platform capabilities at scale.

You will lead IaC design on AWS, integrate AI for predictive scaling and self-healing, and create self-service developer tooling while collaborating with security and product teams to deliver reliable, secure platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of infrastructure automation/platform engineering experience in public/private cloud.
• 4+ years of expert Terraform/OpenTofu experience in large-scale production environments.
• Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, and Bash.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize cloud infrastructure automation on AWS using IaC.
• Integrate AI for predictive scaling, anomaly detection, and self-healing systems.
• Build self-service capabilities for internal engineers, including AI-assisted tooling and copilot-driven workflows.
• Partner with engineers, product managers, and owners to deliver features across the internal platform lifecycle.
• Collaborate with security/compliance teams to embed protection as a platform feature.
• Champion best practices, optimize performance, and establish scalable automation patterns using AI.
