Job summary

Airbnb is seeking an Operations Engineer to apply AI in observability and automation. You will triage tickets, automate recurring issues, and build self-healing monitoring with AI-enabled insights. The role emphasizes hands-on coding and cross-team collaboration.

The position centers on AI-driven dashboards, incident management, and scalable runbooks across global tools and cloud platforms. Remote India work is supported with occasional office attendance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with observability and metrics tooling.
• 3+ years working with data querying and pipelines.
• Working knowledge of network fundamentals and hardware.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and automation tooling across AWS, GCP, or Oracle Cloud.
• Comfort working in ticket/workflow-driven environments using Jira and Confluence.
• Experience supporting enterprise SaaS tools and SSO/identity integration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the ticket queue prioritizing and resolving requests while identifying recurring categories to automate or deflect.
• Participate in on-call and incident response rotating schedule, including weekends, documenting issues in real time.
• Build and maintain monitoring dashboards (Tableau, Superset, Grafana) that track service health and data quality.
• Use AI-assisted tools to speed up triage, root-cause analysis, scripting, and documentation.
• Write and maintain code to automate operational workflows in Python, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bash.
• Partner with global stakeholders to drive issues to resolution.
