Job summary

Reliance Financial is seeking a Head of Operations to lead the services business’ day-to-day function. You’ll build processes, write procedures, and manage the team who executes them, hands-on rather than distant oversight.

You will own onboarding, document workflows, and drive KPI-based performance across the operations department. The role emphasizes AI-assisted tooling to reduce manual work and scale operations in Manhattan or nearby New Jersey offices.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in operations, ideally at a large asset manager, bank, or financial services firm.
• Direct people management experience with hiring and performance decisions.
• Proven ability to build, document, and improve operations workflows and procedures.
• Experience using AI assisted tools as part of day-to-day operations.
• Strong attention to detail with volume document handling.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding and procedures end-to-end; document and maintain consistency.
• Manage day-to-day operations workflows and scale processes with volume growth.
• Build quality controls and checkpoints to ensure accuracy.
• Hire, manage, and if needed; let staff go within the operations team.
• Define success metrics and lead the team to KPIs.
• Train and onboard new operations staff on procedures and systems.
• Leverage AI tools to automate manual tasks and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with technology to identify automation opportunities.
