Job summary

Connect Tech+Talent is seeking a Business Operations & Compliance Manager in Austin, TX. This hybrid role covers operations, technology, international logistics, and AI-driven automation, reporting to leadership.

You will own the SOC 2 Type II program and drive scalable processes. The ideal candidate has 10 years in technology, engineering, software, or operations, with startup experience and a strong mix of business operations and technical execution.

Qualifications

10 years in technology, engineering, software, operations, or a related field.
Experience in a small business, startup, or entrepreneurial environment.
Strong mix of business operations and technology execution.
Software/hardware background; comfortable with AI automation.
Experience with SOC 2/compliance/audits and/or international logistics is valuable.
Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Willing to work occasional extra hours when needed.

Responsibilities

Manage critical SaaS systems, subscriptions, payments, vendors, renewals, and day-to-day operational reliability (Mojo Helpdesk).
Oversee shipping, warehousing, and fulfilment across the U.S. and Europe; manage China factory relationships.
Own the SOC 2 Type II program and support new compliance requirements such as FERPA.
Identify manual processes and implement automation using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok.
Build scalable processes, solve cross-functional problems, and take on new responsibilities as the company grows.
