Job summary

Gen is seeking an Operational Audit Leader in Tempe, AZ to build and head a risk-based internal audit function. This role provides independent assurance and business insights beyond SOX, driving enterprise risk coverage as a trusted advisor.

You will partner with leaders to drive process improvements, assess multi-domain risks, and deliver actionable recommendations. Onsite work 3 days/week with a comprehensive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Must have experience leading risk-based operational audits.
• Strong skills in identifying risks across operations, IT and finance.
• Proven ability to develop and execute audit plans and report findings.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to support advisory engagements and improvements.
• Identify and assess operational, financial, IT, compliance and strategic risks.
• Develop a risk-based operational audit plan aligned with enterprise priorities.
• Lead end-to-end audits across business functions, from scoping to reporting.
• Deliver actionable insights to improve performance and risk management.
• Maintain audit methodologies, tools and templates.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and adoption of recommendations.
• Lead or partner on special projects (transformation; M&A).
• Adopt AI tools and automation for Internal Audit and SOX processes.
