Job summary

Gen is seeking an Operational Audit Leader to build and run a risk-based operational audit function that provides independent assurance and business insights beyond SOX compliance. This role will drive enterprise risk coverage and position Internal Audit as a trusted advisor.

Based in Tempe, AZ (onsite 3 days per week), you will partner with business leaders on advisory engagements, lead end-to-end audits, and adopt AI tools to improve risk management and performance.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of an internal or operational audit function.
• Experience partnering with business leaders for advisory engagements.
• Ability to identify operational, financial, compliance, IT, and strategic risks.
• Strong ability to deliver actionable insights and drive improvements.

• Build and maintain audit methodologies, tools, and templates for operational audits.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and adoption of audit recommendations.
• Lead/partner special projects – transformation; M&A etc.

About the Role:

• Lead end-to-end operational audits (risk assessment, scoping, fieldwork, reporting) across business functions
• Deliver actionable insights and recommendations that improve business performance and risk management
• Build and maintain audit methodologies, tools, and templates for operational audits
• Drive stakeholder engagement and adoption of audit recommendations

Location:

The annual base salary for this position is expected to be between $225,000 and $250,000. Base salary is one component of Gen's total compensation package, which includes 401(k) match, health insurance options, disability coverage, life insurance, and unlimited paid time off. Actual salaries will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies related to the role.
