Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Mainframe Developer to drive AI-enabled modernization of z/OS vulnerability patching from Plano, TX, Jersey City, NJ, or Charlotte, NC. The role is hybrid with at least three days onsite weekly and a 12-month contract duration.

The candidate will design AI-driven automation frameworks, implement agent-based workflows, and integrate with mainframe tooling and security systems to scale remediation across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in mainframe infrastructure engineering (z/OS, IMS, CICS, DB2).
• Hands-on AI/agent-based automation development experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of AI-driven automation for z/OS patching.
• Build and deploy agent-based workflows to automate remediation at scale.
• Integrate AI agents with mainframe systems, APIs, and security tooling.
