Job summary

Atos SE is seeking an experienced Mainframe Automation Expert to join its Mainframe Services team. The role emphasizes reducing manual effort, accelerating incident resolution, and supporting modernization through advanced automation and orchestration.

The candidate should combine strong mainframe skills with modern automation and ITIL-aligned processes to improve system availability and resilience. Remote or hybrid work options are available, with a focus on global collaboration.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Mainframe Operations or Mainframe Systems Programming.
5+ years of experience with enterprise automation solutions.
Experience supporting mission-critical production environments.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Experience in incident, problem, and change management processes.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for IBM z/OS environments.
Automate operational procedures, startup/shutdown sequences, workload management, and recovery processes.
Create and maintain event-driven automation rules and operational workflows.
Develop custom utilities, scripts, and tooling using REXX, CLIST, JCL, and other automation technologies.
Standardize operational procedures across customer environments.
