Job summary

Envision Technology Solutions in Alpharetta, GA / Berkeley Heights, NJ seeks a senior Mainframe Developer to participate in requirements analysis and drive changes for enhancements, defects, modernization or regulatory needs.

You will design, develop and maintain mainframe components, ensure adherence to coding, security and architectural standards, and support testing and deployment across batch and online programs.

Qualifications

• Experience with Mainframe Cobol, JCL, and batch processing.
• Hands-on expertise in VSAM, DB2, and CICS.
• Senior resources who can set up and drive the team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and implement enhancements, defects fixes, modernization or regulatory changes.
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe-based components per standards.
• Perform analysis, coding, testing, and documentation for batch and online programs.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents and defects.
• Support system testing, integration testing, and UAT with defect fixes and data corrections.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, release planning, and operational readiness.

Job Description

• Participate in requirements analysis and impact assessment for enhancements defect fixes modernization or regulatory changes
• Design develops enhance and maintain application components using standard mainframe technologies ensuring alignment with client's approved coding security and architectural standards
• Perform analysis coding unit testing and documentation for batch programs online transactions and interfaces running on the mainframe platform
• Analyze troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and defects
• Support system testing integration testing and user acceptance testing UAT by providing defect fixes data corrections and validation support
• Participate in code reviews design reviews release planning and operational readiness activities.
• AI/GenAI exp, if you have work or learning knowledge any AI tools.

Must Have Skills:

• Very strong on Mainframe Enterprise Cobol, JCL.
• Handson and an expert in VSAM, DB2 and CICS.
• Client is looking for hands-on and senior resources with expertise who can set up and drive the team.
