Job summary

US LBM Holdings, LLC is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Procure-to-Pay) to drive AI-first software development across our procure-to-pay platform, purchasing, invoice capture, and AP workflows. You will lead hands-on development while mentoring teams and partnering with Product Managers and business stakeholders to align technology with business goals.

In this role you will own use-case discovery, prototype rapid AI solutions, and guide architecture for scalable, secure systems.

Qualifications

5+ years developing and delivering web/mobile/enterprise/integration solutions.
4+ years of full-stack development experience.
Strong hands-on experience building full-stack apps with TypeScript and ES6+; React on front end and Node.js back end.
Experience developing back-end services in Python and/or Rust; databases PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
Experience integrating procurement and AP systems (Medius, Coupa) with invoicing, approvals, and supplier connectivity.
Experience designing and consuming secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes; CI/CD with GitHub, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
Hands-on AI-enabled development and rapid prototyping with product teams.
Ability to align engineering with business outcomes; strong communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Partner with Product Manager to own use-case discovery and rapid prototyping for AI opportunities.
Drive AI-first lifecycle across discovery, design, coding, testing, and delivery.
Lead procure-to-pay solutions and integrations across purchasing, invoicing, approvals (Medius, Coupa).
Increase touchless invoice processing and spend control via automation and AI.
Remain hands-on while providing technical leadership, mentoring, and code reviews.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support applications, APIs, integrations.
Translate requirements into scalable solutions with Product Managers and stakeholders.
Guide technical design and architecture for scalable, secure, reliable systems.
Drive delivery priorities, manage risks, and communicate progress.
Build reusable integration patterns, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and standards.
Champion AI-assisted development, automated testing, and intelligent workflows.
Troubleshoot complex production/integration issues maintaining data integrity.
