Job summary

Merck & Co. in the United States seeks an Associate Director for Global Oncology Insights and Engagement to lead data-driven strategic analytics within the Global Oncology Marketing Engagement team, driving launch readiness and commercial rigor.

The role partners across HR division, IT, market research, forecasting, data science, and operations to deliver integrated insights, AI-enabled analytics, and end-to-end capability delivery for oncology assets, empowering executive decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a scientific/commercial discipline.
• 5+ years in marketing, data insights and analytics within pharma/healthcare.
• Experience mining claims/EMR data for actionable insights.
• Strong strategic thinking and data synthesis abilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic thought-partner for Global Asset Marketing teams.
• Translate business needs into structured analytical plans and hypotheses.
• Communicate advanced analytics to stakeholders to inform decisions.
• Develop and own commercial insight generation strategy and roadmap, applying AI.
• Analyze diverse data to inform patient journey, referral patterns, and market sizing.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of analytics capabilities across IT and analytics teams.
• Mentor a team of Specialists and Senior Specialists.
