Cockroach Labs is seeking a Director of FP&A to reinvent the FP&A function and lead it into the next era of finance. Reporting to the CFO, you will build a real-time decision engine where AI handles routine work and you stay hands-on with models and analysis.

Based in the Bay Area or New York City, you will lead a lean team, drive rolling forecasts, and partner with executives to push strategic planning and finance transformation forward.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, spanning investment banking, private equity, and/or FP&A at a high-growth company.

Responsibilities

• Reimagine the FP&A operating model as an AI-native hub in partnership with Data & Applied AI teams.
• Own long-range strategic planning with a focus on pricing, packaging, GTM motions, and sales compensation design.
• Lead rolling forecasts with real-time signals (revenue, usage, churn, headcount) and dynamic modeling.
• Act as strategic finance partner to the CFO and executive team with clear board-ready insights.
• Lead the design of board materials and investor packages with AI-assisted narrative generation.
• Deliver interactive, real-time scenario modeling for pricing and investment decisions.
• Deploy self-serve financial intelligence across R&D, GTM, and G&A for broader business insights.
• Build a rigorous, real-time business partnering model across functions.
