Job summary

MarginEdge is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. You’ll own financial reporting and drive planning and analysis, including budgeting and forecasting, cash management and KPI reporting.

Working with the FP&A Director, you’ll use financial and operational data to track the drivers of the business and forecast future revenue and spend, while leveraging AI tools to automate routine work. This role is based at our Arlington, VA headquarters with a hybrid schedule of three days per

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting or related function.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, statistics, economics, or business administration.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; strong PowerPoint skills; proficient with financial databases and accounting systems.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Ability to understand and interpret complex data for stakeholders.
• Excellent time management and organizational ability to manage competing priorities.
• Demonstrated work ethic and desire to exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the company-wide financial model with up-to-date income statement, balance sheet and cash flow projections.
• Use AI tools to speed up model building, scenario analysis and variance commentary; ensure final output is accurate.
• Identify trends in financial performance and recommend improvements.
• Report on monthly results for executives, department heads and investors.
• Track actuals vs. plan and write variance analyses.
• Prepare monthly board reporting and financial slides for quarterly meetings.
• Support due diligence for capital raises and M&A.
• Build models from scratch and adapt existing ones for decisions.
• Handle ad hoc analyses and projects as needed.
