Job summary

Breeze is building an AI-powered financial infrastructure for global commerce. As Accounting Manager in New York City, you will own external financial statement audits and the multi-entity close as Breeze adds entities, currencies, and licenses.

This is a hands-on role in a small team, focusing on auditable processes while scaling operations. You will turn a fast-moving environment into an auditable, well-documented close and leverage AI to improve accounting workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting at a mid-tier or Big 4 firm.
• Direct accounting experience at a payments company, fintech, bank, lender, or other regulated financial services business.
• Demonstrated ownership of multi-entity consolidation, including intercompany eliminations and multi-currency reporting.
• Experience running or playing a lead role in an external financial statement audit.
• Advanced Excel, with real comfort working with large transaction-level datasets from processors or core banking systems.
• Some experience applying AI to accounting workflows.
• Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments without an established playbook.

Responsibilities

• Audit management with external auditors, including PBC lists and issue resolution through to signed opinion.
• Own monthly close across legal entities, intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidated reporting package.
• Manage foreign currency remeasurement/translation under ASC 830.
• Maintain intercompany framework and transfer pricing entries.
