Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Finance Operations AI/Automation Lead to partner with Finance, Product, and Engineering to design and build AI-enabled agents and data solutions. You will automate manual processes, craft data pipelines, and enable long-term ownership with runbooks and training.

You will embed with Finance teams to diagnose workflows, translate requirements into AI-driven solutions, and deliver end-to-end capabilities from prototype to production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, technical operations, business intelligence, automation, solutions delivery, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in program management, working directly alongside business leaders to develop and execute process transformation programs.
• Hands-on experience building AI-enabled tools, agents, automations, or workflows that changed a real business process.
• Strong SQL proficiency, including complex queries using CTEs, window functions, and joins.
• Track record of independently scoping and delivering technical solutions for process improvement.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills, including root-cause analysis and debugging data problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience teaching, coaching, enabling users, or transferring ownership through documentation or self-service tools.
• Experience with development practices: version control, testing, code review, iterative delivery.
• Experience with low-code tools, scripting, workflow automation, AI-assisted development, or custom integrations.

Responsibilities

• Embed with Finance teams to diagnose workflows and translate requirements into AI/automation solutions.
• Build and operationalize AI agents for Finance use cases from prototype to handoff.
• Write and optimize SQL for data extraction and validation in Finance outputs.
• Design reusable knowledge layers and data-quality frameworks to improve agent accuracy.
• Identify limitations and collaborate with Engineering to scope and test tools and integrations.
• Build alongside users and iterate until the solution fits the workflow and earns trust.
• Enable long-term ownership through SOPs, runbooks, training, and self-service tooling.
• Establish monitoring and observability for deployed agents with metrics and alerts.
• Diagnose technical issues and collaborate with Engineering for platform changes.
• Measure adoption and impact, share lessons, and create playbooks for broader AI portfolio.
