Job summary

Stripe is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead AI-enabled financial workflows. You will apply accounting expertise, build AI-powered tools, and scale autonomous agents within a fast-paced, governance-focused environment.

Candidates should have 10+ years in accounting-related roles, a degree in accounting or related field, and strong SQL, Python, and data pipeline skills. Prior work on internal controls and SOX is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in accounting or related roles
• B.A. or B.S degree in Accounting, Finance, Finance Systems or Information Systems
• Fluency in U.S. GAAP
• Advanced proficiency in SQL with complex queries
• Familiarity with Python, Databricks, ETL/ELT and data pipelines
• Knowledge of AI fundamentals and emerging AI/LLM tools
• Experience with internal controls (design, implementation and execution)

Responsibilities

• Identify and prototype high-impact AI opportunities in accounting workflows
• Build AI-powered tools to automate accounting processes and improve controllership
• Design autonomous AI agents and data products for real-time insights
• Develop SQL/Python-based data products and interactive dashboards
• Collaborate with Accounting and SOX teams to strengthen internal controls for AI solutions
• Translate complex financial workflows into well-controlled technical solutions
