Job summary

Engrain, a Greenwood Village-based proptech leader, is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting operations and build a scalable, AI-enabled finance function. You will lead a seven-person team, report to the CFO, and partner across the company to modernize financial processes.

The role emphasizes US GAAP, NetSuite/Salesforce integration, and automation to accelerate close, improve accuracy, and provide strategic financial insights. Hybrid Colorado, in-office four days weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience incl. Controller or Assistant Controller roles.
• 3+ years leading accounting/finance teams.
• Experience scaling processes, systems, and controls in growth-stage SaaS companies.
• Fluency in AI, automation, and intelligent financial tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee reporting, close, billing, AP/AR, payroll, treasury, GL, tax, revenue recognition.
• Redesign workflows with AI, agents, automation, and systems integration.
• Automate reconciliations, billing, collections, and data validation.
• Improve close speed and deliver timely financial insights.
• Strengthen NetSuite/Salesforce integration with strong controls.
• Lead and develop team; mentor Associate Controller.
• Advise leaders on accounting matters and scalable financial capabilities.
• Ensure US GAAP compliance and manage external auditors.
