Job summary

OrthoArkansas, PA seeks a Controller to lead accounting across multiple entities, owning the monthly close and financial reporting. You will work hands-on with the ledger while building AI-enabled processes alongside in-house AI developers.

You will supervise a small team, manage intercompany activity, and drive automation from reconciliations to journal entries. Ideal candidates have 7+ years in accounting and strong GAAP expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including time as a Controller or similar role.
• Multi-entity and intercompany accounting experience required.
• People management experience required.
• Healthcare industry experience not required; training available.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close across all entities, including intercompany activity and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial package for CEO and boards; stay hands-on with ledger and entries.
• Lead AI automation: map processes, build agents, test, parallel run to manual close, then cut over.
• Oversee automated close: review outputs, handle exceptions, tune, extend automation.
• Prepare physician statements, calculate productivity bonuses, and coordinate physician distributions.
• Maintain internal controls and audit trails; ensure proper separation of duties and approvals.
