Job summary

Deepgram is hiring an Accounting Manager, GL & Close to lead the most complex portions of the monthly close and advance the function toward an external audit and SOX-ready controls. You will work directly with the CAO and scale a lean finance team while implementing AI-enabled close tooling and an ERP migration.

You will own the critical paths, build schedules, and review areas prepared by offshore staff, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness as the company grows toward public markets.

Qualifications

• Progressive accounting experience with ownership of close processes.
• Experience leading month-end close, preparation, and audit readiness.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Push the close forward across critical-path workstreams and drive items to completion.
• Prepare complex areas such as stock compensation, leases, payroll accruals, and intercompany.
• Review established areas like fixed assets, cash, and journal entries for accuracy.
• Own consolidation, close package, and monthly narrative for CAO/CFO.
• Coach and develop junior staff, planning for future leadership.
