Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an experienced Extended Workforce Program Manager to drive and continuously improve our global extended workforce. Reporting to the Head of Extended Workforce, you will translate priorities into clear plans, scale operations, and partner across Compliance, Legal, and Procurement to deliver measurable outcomes.

You will own end‑to‑end workstreams, optimize workflows with automation, and help build a scalable operating model for an AI-first organization.

Qualifications

• Progressively responsible experience in extended/workforce or procurement operations.
• Experience designing and improving processes, systems, controls, and operating models.
• Strong judgment, strategic thinking, and execution focus.
• Knowledge of compliance, risk, and global workforce requirements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to set direction for workstreams and own end‑to‑end execution with clear plans and milestones.
• Collaborate with Operations and Global Compliance to ensure efficient, scalable program operations.
• Advise hiring managers on workforce solutions balancing cost, risk, and worker experience.
• Translate business needs into improved workflows, automation, and reporting.
• Identify and implement AI, automation, analytics to reduce manual work and scale operations.
• Root-cause operational issues and build durable processes and frameworks.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure performance and delivery.
• Establish program health measures and insights to drive improvements.
• Lead rollout of new processes and tools with testing, training, and success metrics.
• Resolve complex workforce requests while balancing priorities and risk.
• Develop reusable practices and documentation to uplift the broader team.
