Job summary

Abnormal is seeking an Enterprise Platform Engineer to build secure, AI-enabled workforce tech across identity, endpoints, SaaS, collaboration tools, and office IT. You will automate joiner/mover/leaver processes, manage device provisioning, and deliver self-service experiences that reduce manual work while improving the employee experience.

You will collaborate with Security, GRC, People and Finance teams, driving reliable platform changes with governance and security in mind.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in IT engineering, platform engineering, or similar role.
• Experience with identity/access concepts incl. SSO, MFA, least privilege, directory management, provisioning.
• Experience supporting macOS/Windows with device management practices.
• Ability to script and integrate systems via APIs, webhooks, and workflows.
• Familiar with SaaS admin, collaboration tools, and employee tech platforms.
• Experience with incident and change management and root-cause analysis.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to document tech processes.

Responsibilities

• Build and support automations for joiner/mover/leaver flows, access requests, device management, deprovisioning, and common IT needs.
• Support identity/access capabilities using SSO, MFA, least privilege, birthright access, directory/group models, provisioning, and device trust.
• Help operate zero-touch device provisioning/management for macOS/Windows, including packaging, patching, policy compliance, and drift detection.
• Use AI tools, APIs, workflows, and event-driven patterns to improve platform operations with proper controls and human review.
• Create self-service experiences, runbooks, and enablement content so teams resolve IT needs without escalation.
• Add telemetry, logging, dashboards, and evaluation so automations/AI workflows can be tested and improved.
• Participate in Tier 2/3 incidents, perform root cause analysis, and feed learnings back into automations and standards.
• Partner with Security, GRC, People, Finance, IT Service Delivery, and platform owners to deliver changes safely.
