Job summary

The Matlen Silver Group, Inc. is seeking an AI Digital Strategist to lead digital discovery initiatives in Charlotte, NC. This contract role focuses on SEO, content optimization, and AI-powered search experiences with a collaborative team across content, technology, design, and analytics.

The role requires 5+ years in digital strategy and strong communication skills to influence stakeholders. W2 candidates only; USC/GC restricted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, Information Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in digital strategy, SEO, digital marketing, website optimization, content strategy, user experience, or related disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, web analytics, content optimization, and AI-powered search experiences.
• Experience leading complex digital initiatives or cross-functional workstreams across content, technology, design, analytics, and stakeholders.
• Ability to identify market trends, evolving search behaviors, competitive opportunities, and emerging technologies for discoverability strategies.
• Strong communication and influencing skills to translate complex concepts into actionable recommendations for diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to lead through influence and foster collaboration in a matrixed environment.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint for performance data, business cases, and executive presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the AI Discoverability Pod and coordinate workstreams across content, tech, design, and analytics.
• Develop and optimize digital discovery strategies and content across search and AI-powered experiences.
• Drive collaboration with stakeholders and external SEO/AI agency to measure and improve outcomes.
• Translate insights into executive-ready recommendations and business cases.
