Job summary

AMD is seeking an AI/ML Project Lead to define and drive AI-enabled capabilities for DFT/DFD design and verification. You will partner with CAD, design and software teams to translate engineering needs into deployable AI solutions and lead projects from concept to production deployment.

You will influence technical direction, architect agentic workflows, and ensure robust MLOps and software lifecycle practices across complex ASIC environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in DFT and/or DFD architecture for high-performance SoCs/IP.
• Proven leadership of cross-team engineering initiatives from definition to production.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML applications in production environments.
• Familiar with agentic AI systems design, MCP, RAG and human oversight.
• Strong Python development and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks.
• Experience with software engineering practices: source control, testing, CI/CD.
• Knowledge of MLOps and data lifecycle practices.
• Proficiency with Perl, Tcl and shell scripting in ASIC/EDA contexts.
• Foundational digital logic and VLSI design knowledge.
• Ability to influence technical direction across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML and agentic AI initiatives for DFT/DFD design and verification.
• Integrate AI agents with DFX flows, EDA tools and data sources.
• Develop AI-enabled models and intelligent automation for DFX challenges.
• Stay current with AI/ML advances and evaluate relevance to AMD needs.
• Architect workflows combining LLMs, domain knowledge and tools.
• Define evaluation methods, guardrails and production-grade processes.
