Job summary

Asana is seeking an experienced Developer Advocate for our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. You will represent developers inside and outside the company, shaping how AI and agentic workflows create value.

The role emphasizes credibility, content creation, and community engagement across forums, events, and social channels. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Solutions Engineering to turn developer feedback into platform enhancements

Qualifications

Proven track record as Developer Advocate or related role.
Hands-on experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Experience speaking to developer audiences and communities.
Strategic mindset with ability to define success metrics.

Responsibilities

Design and execute developer engagement strategies to drive adoption of Asana APIs and SDKs.
Author high-quality technical content: sample apps, tutorials, blog posts, API docs.
Engage with developer communities across forums, events, and social channels.
Partner with Product, Engineering and Design to gather actionable feedback for roadmaps.
Collaborate with Marketing and Solutions Engineering to support integrations and growth.
Mentor junior advocates and elevate advocacy best practices.
