Asana is seeking an experienced Developer Advocate for our NYC office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. You will represent developers at Asana, engage with the community across forums, conferences, and social channels, and help shape the platform roadmap through strong developer feedback.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Developer Advocate, Developer Relations Engineer, or Senior Software Engineer with experience shaping developer programs.
• Hands-on work with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and modern SDKs in JavaScript, Python, or Ruby.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex topics into approachable content.
• Empathy for developer experience and ability to advocate for user needs internally.
• Experience defining success metrics and translating feedback into product improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute developer engagement strategies that drive adoption of Asana’s platform, APIs, and SDKs.
• Author high-quality technical content, including sample apps, tutorials, and API docs.
• Engage with the developer community across forums, events, and social channels.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design to provide actionable developer feedback.
• Build cross-functional relationships to support partner integrations and growth.
• Mentor junior advocates and elevate advocacy practices across the org.
