Job summary

General Motors seeks a data scientist to support digital transformation and AI enablement in the GM Quality Connected Customer CI team. You’ll frame problems, build data pipelines, develop AI/ML solutions, and create interfaces for decision support to improve quality processes.

You will collaborate with diverse teams, deploy scalable analytics, visualize results, and document models while ensuring ongoing model performance and business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Analytics, Engineering or Statistics.
• 2 years of experience as a Data Scientist or related role.
• Experience deploying and monitoring large analytic data sets or ML models.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, Spark and visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau).
• Experience creating data pipelines and developing AI/ML solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work within a cross-functional team to deliver data-driven analytic solutions for quality teams.
• Develop predictive/prescriptive models and ML algorithms; analyze large diverse data sets.
• Prepare data pipelines and user interfaces to meet business needs and timelines.
• Create technical documents for models and processes; present findings via data storytelling.
