Job summary

Red Ventures is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead a small team building the data platform for the home services business. You will translate business strategy into technical plans on a modern lakehouse stack, coaching engineers and engaging with clients and internal stakeholders.

You will establish governance, observability, and scalable data solutions while driving an AI-forward approach to pipeline development and experimentation.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience managing a data engineering team.
• Hands-on data engineering background prior to/with management.
• Experience with Databricks including Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and workflow orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 2-4 Data Engineers to design and build data pipelines for a modern lakehouse stack.
• Coach engineers through performance reviews and career development.
• Own end-to-end design and delivery of data platform solutions, including ingestion, transformation, and monitoring.
• Translate business strategies into a technical roadmap and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Establish data governance, quality, lineage, and observability standards.
