Red Ventures is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead a small team building a modern data platform powering home services. You will translate business strategy into executable plans, coach engineers, and promote an AI-forward approach while engaging stakeholders across the organization.

Remote or hybrid options are available with East Coast preference; role central to NY or Charlotte offices. This position emphasizes governance, reliability, and scalable data solutions in a cloud

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing a data engineering team with 5+ years hands-on data engineering experience.
• 4+ years Databricks experience including Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and workflows.
• 4+ years cloud experience; AWS preferred, Azure/GCP welcomed.
• Strong Python and PySpark coding in distributed contexts.
• Background in data modeling, data quality, and governance.
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD in collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluency with AI integration in data stack and agentic tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2-4 data engineers to design and build data pipelines to a target warehouse.
• Coach engineers and drive career development and performance reviews.
• Own end-to-end data platform design: ingestion to monitoring.
• Translate business strategies into a technical roadmap.
• Enforce data governance, data quality, and lineage standards.
• Drive reliability, scalability, cost optimization, and monitoring.
• Lead proof-of-concepts to validate new processes.
• Champion AI integration into the data stack and tooling.
• Engage early with stakeholders to maximize value from data.
