Job summary

Optomi is seeking a design-led technologist who blends human-centered design with hands-on AI and emerging tech leadership. You will steer complex client projects, rapidly prototype, and translate ideas from concept to testing and delivery.

You will collaborate with designers, engineers, data teams, strategists, and senior stakeholders, challenge status quo, and advocate responsible AI, architecture, and feasibility.

Qualifications

• Strong background in human-centered design, experience design, product design, or creative technology.
• Strong experience with Claude/Claude Code.
• Experience building AI agents and working with MCP servers.
• Rapid prototyping and experimentation experience.
• Ability to assess technical feasibility and communicate technical concepts.
• Strong communication, and experience leading teams and stakeholder groups.
• Ability to take ownership, make decisions, and drive projects forward.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and innovation initiatives across complex client projects, ensuring solutions are intuitive, innovative, technically feasible, and aligned with client objectives.
• Drive human-centered design from discovery through prototyping, user testing, and delivery while serving as a hands-on technical and creative leader.
• Leverage emerging technologies and AI to rapidly prototype and test new concepts, including building AI agents using Claude/Claude Code and MCP-connected technologies.
• Evaluate technical feasibility and communicate design and technology decisions to stakeholders, helping teams move from ideas to actionable solutions.
• Bring design, engineering, data, strategy, and business teams together around a shared vision while building strong relationships with senior client stakeholders.
• Mentor interdisciplinary teams, encourage experimentation, and consider ethical implications when developing AI and data-driven solutions.
