Block is seeking a Compliance Technology Program Lead to ensure ML and heuristic detection models and the data infrastructure that feeds them are fit for purpose for our fiat and virtual currency products.

This role sits at the intersection of compliance, machine learning, and AI tooling: you will use modern intelligence tools, including Claude and other LLM-based agents, to automate significant portions of oversight, monitoring, and documentation work — turning a traditionally manual,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in compliance technology at regulated financial institutions or as a consultant.
• Hands-on experience building with modern AI tools (Claude, GPT) and automating processes in production.
• Experience with Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Screening, and Customer Risk Scoring models.

Responsabilités

• Build with AI tools to scale oversight, monitoring, and documentation.
• Design human-in-the-loop checkpoints to defend outputs to regulators.
• Lead real-time dashboards for model health and data quality monitoring.
• Oversee ML and heuristic model development, thresholds, and data pipelines feeding alerts.
• Coordinate with BSA/AML Policy Teams and regulators for exam readiness.
