Job summary

Gemini Trust Company in New York is seeking a Lead, Technical Compliance to modernize the AML/BSA/Sanctions program with AI and automation. You will design agentic AI workflows, assess transaction monitoring data, and build risk scoring and reporting capabilities with engineering and product teams.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in compliance technology, strong Python and SQL skills, and familiarity with Databricks/Pyspark. This role offers a hybrid work model with US-based operations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or international equivalent.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience with compliance technology and data analysis within financial services or digital asset spaces.
• Advanced skills with Python and SQL are a must.
• Experience designing, developing, or implementing AI-enabled automation, agentic AI workflows, or other advanced technology solutions.
• Experience leveraging AI models and data-driven technologies to solve complex business problems.
• Ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into technical requirements and designs.
• Understanding of the software-development lifecycle, including testing, documentation, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Authorization to work in the United States and fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of AI-enabled automation and agentic AI workflows across the Compliance Program.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI models, machine learning, and automation to improve compliance processes and controls.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies for compliance applications based on value, risk, explainability, and complexity.
• Lead development and maintenance of Gemini’s transaction monitoring system and data ingestion.
• Support and maintain a customer risk scoring model that reflects Gemini’s risk-based approach.
• Lead enhancements to sanctions controls and tuning thresholds.
• Build real-time data and reporting solutions using Python or SQL for scalable insights.
• Integrate and maintain external tools to enhance the Compliance Program.
• Assist in developing enhancements to Gemini’s enterprise AML/BSA risk assessment.
• Partner with engineers, product managers, and analysts to deliver insights to Compliance.
• Establish governance and controls for AI-enabled solutions, including testing, validation, and oversight.
• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of AI and automation solutions.
