Job summary

Scripps Research in La Jolla, California, seeks a Project Manager to lead the NSF PCL Node within the Automated Synthesis Facility. You will coordinate budgets, schedules, vendor engagements, and multi-institution teams to advance a remote, AI-driven chemistry platform with standardized interfaces and FAIR data practices.

The role requires PMP or equivalent, 4+ years of project leadership, and strong communication across chemists, engineers, and data scientists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field.
• PMP certification or equivalent qualification as required by the awards Cooperative Agreement Programmatic Terms and Conditions.
• Minimum of four years experience in project management and/or leadership coordinating scientists and engineers to develop technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Node Director in managing budget, schedule, and scope of the project.
• Maintain the Strategic Implementation Plan and PEP, and keep the Instrument Inventory Table current.
• Drive execution against the PCL Implementation Timeline and manage risk and re-planning.
