Job summary

Procore Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to join the Financials group in Austin.

You’ll partner with other software teams to build scalable backend systems for customer-facing SaaS applications, driving innovation in a historically underserved industry. You’ll design robust backend solutions with Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Java, or Typescript inside a microservices architecture, establish high-quality standards, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience with TDD and core concepts.
• Backend experience with Rails, Node.js, or Java.
• Experience at scale with large user bases.
• Experience building CI/CD in a large environment.
• Ability to balance short-term and long-term technical plans.
• Familiar with modern web development lifecycle tools.

Responsibilities

• Master generative tools and agentic workflows.
• Design and build robust backend solutions in a microservices architecture.
• Establish high-quality development standards for teams.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, platform, and other software teams.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI and ArgoCD.
• Optimize performance with Postgres, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Translate customer needs into scalable SaaS solutions.
