Job summary

Salesforce is seeking experienced backend engineers to build scalable features across Marketing, Commerce, Sales, Big Data, and AI-enabled clouds. You will design and implement robust APIs, handle large data in cloud platforms, and integrate with internal/external systems.

Emphasis on test-driven development, CI/CD, and AI-first engineering. You will contribute to shared system context and ensure production-grade, secure, and reliable code while working in a hybrid, in-person-friendly

Qualifications

• Related technical degree required.
• 3+ years backend software development experience.
• Deep knowledge of object oriented languages (Java, C++, Go, C#, Ruby, Scala, Python, Node.JS, JavaScript).
• Broad knowledge of APIs (REST, SOAP, XML, WSDL, HTTP, JSON, etc.).
• Experience with Spring, gRPC, REST and HTTP.
• Experience with Agile development methodology.
• AI-first approach to engineering and experience with AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Backend application development for Marketing/Commerce/Sales/Big Data/Service/Einstein/MuleSoft/Platform/Industries Clouds/Slack and Heroku.
• Design, implement, and tune robust APIs in a multi-tenant environment.
• Work with large data sets in the cloud (GCP, AWS, Alibaba, Azure).
• Integrate with internal/external systems.
• Practice test-driven development and use CI/CD tools.
• Build production-grade software with AI as a core part of development.
• Design and orchestrate complex systems where AI integrates into human workflows.
• Contribute to a shared system context for reliable AI operation.
• Critically evaluate code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
• For Big Data roles: use Phoenix, HBase, MapReduce, Yarn, Kafka, Spark, Hive, Presto or equivalents.
