Job summary
LimeIQ LLC is seeking an AI API Engineer to advance API design, backend services, data integration, and intelligent automation in a modern AI-assisted engineering environment. The role focuses on scalable API architecture and automated workflows to speed delivery while maintaining reliability and auditability.
You will work across API design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation, partnering with product, data, and DevOps teams to modernize insurance data integration and platform
Qualifications
- Practical experience in AI-assisted engineering environments.
- 5+ years software engineering focusing on APIs and backend services.
- Experience with Python or Django in production.
- Experience designing RESTful or event-driven APIs and API management.
Responsibilities
- Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate API design, coding, testing, documentation, and code reviews.
- Design, develop, and scale RESTful and event-driven APIs using Python and cloud-native architectures.
- Develop scalable backend services, integration APIs, and data processing pipelines.
- Build intelligent automation workflows to reduce manual effort and speed API delivery.
- Architect API integration layers connecting core platforms and analytics.
- Implement authentication/authorization patterns (OAuth2, JWT, API gateways).
- Support modernization of legacy integrations while reducing technical debt.
