Job summary

W. R. Berkley is seeking an experienced IT Delivery Manager to oversee Agile delivery of software priorities, coordinating planning, execution, and stakeholder communication across product and engineering teams.

You will balance refinement with sprint commitments, maintain a current Jira backlog, and monitor releases, risks, and blockers. Data-driven insights and AI-assisted analysis inform executive status updates and risk assessments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 5 years of progressive IT project/delivery management experience.
5+ years of experience leading Agile/Scrum delivery teams with Jira-based backlog management and cross-functional coordination.
5 years of experience designing and reporting delivery metrics, OKRs, and operational dashboards using Power BI and Atlassian tools.
5 years of experience managing vendor relationships, mitigating delivery risks, and overseeing release governance and environment maintenance.
2 years of experience leveraging AI-assisted productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot) to improve transparency and decision-making.
2 years of experience applying SAFe principles to support ART execution and PI planning.
2 years of experience implementing ITIL-based Change and Release Management, CI/CD, and tools like ServiceNow, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jira, and Confluence

Responsibilities

Supervise Agile delivery of product priorities, ensure planning, coordination, and communication with teams and stakeholders throughout the process.
Lead team in balancing refinement activities with sprint deliverables and maintain a current Jira backlog.
Monitor releases, bugs, blockers, and risks, and communicate with business stakeholders.
Provide actionable executive summaries of status updates and risk assessments with data-driven insights.
Stay informed about maintenance activities and patches that could affect environments, coordinating mitigations.
Onboard new team members, establish a Team Operating Agreement, and run retrospectives to improve processes.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies and address emergent issues promptly.
Track delivery health trends and OKRs, using analytics and observability platforms.
Manage vendor relationships and ensure vendors meet deadlines and engineering standards.
Travel approximately 10% domestically for unanticipated locations.
