Job summary

Amazon Advertising is rapidly expanding its tools to help vendors and sellers optimize campaigns. This Software Development Engineer will own the design and implementation of major platform deliverables on the ads console framework and portal services, driving quality, performance, and security end to end.

You will work across teams in an agentic development cycle, using AI to draft designs, scaffold code, review tests, and tighten operations, while maintaining ownership and accountability for

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of platform capabilities on the ads console framework and portal services, end to end through production, for hundreds of thousands of advertisers.
• Work agentically across the full development life cycle: use AI to draft designs, scaffold implementations, generate and review code, expand test coverage, and investigate operational issues.
• Drive ambiguous problems to simple, data-backed decisions and write designs that partner teams can align to.
• Set and hold the operational and quality bar: test coverage gates, security event logging, alarms, and safe rollouts.
