Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a software development engineer to design and implement scalable systems for the Amazon Ads creative platform in Seattle. You will own major portions of the codebase, participate in code reviews, and mentor teammates while delivering feature-rich, reliable software.

You will work with cross-functional teams across AX and CX, contribute to architectural decisions, and apply best practices for performance and security.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS/Engineering/Math or related field.
• Experience programming with at least one language.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software solutions that enable new features and improve existing systems, balancing scalability, maintainability, performance, and security.
• Own the full development lifecycle for major portions of your team's software, including scoping, coding, testing, deployment, and operational support, and root-cause analysis.
• Write clear documentation covering what your software does, how it is constructed and operated, and how it fits into the broader architecture, and train new team members.
• Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and peers to understand business and customer value, evaluating opportunities to leverage generative AI tools where appropriate.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor teammates on producing high-quality, maintainable code.
