Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Software Development Engineer to impact at scale. You will own design and delivery of platform capabilities on the Ads console framework and portal services, collaborating with product managers and partner teams.

You will work in a native AIDLC team, using agentic development across design, implementation, testing, and operations, focusing on quality, performance, and security while shaping high-velocity engineering practices.

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

Own the design and delivery of platform capabilities on the ads console framework and portal services, end to end through production, for hundreds of thousands of advertisers.
Work agentically across the full development life cycle: use AI to draft designs, scaffold implementations, generate and review code, expand test coverage, and investigate operational issues, while staying accountable for correctness and judgment.
Drive ambiguous problems to simple, data-backed decisions, including one-way-door architecture choices, and write designs at planning altitude that partner teams can align to.
Set and hold the operational and quality bar: test coverage gates, security event logging, threat models, alarms, and safe, reversible rollouts.
Improve our AIDLC practice itself. Codify what works into reusable prompts, agents, skills, and harness workflows so the whole team gets faster and more reliable over time.
Collaborate across teams and partners, and influence shared platform decisions.
