Job summary

Loadsmart is seeking an independent, proactive Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team. You will build integrations, tune AI behavior, and ship working software fast across brokerage, dock scheduling, and shipper platforms, while addressing real-world edge cases in production.

The role sits at the front line of Loadsmart's AI-driven automation work, collaborating with operations stakeholders to deliver value and refine the platform for scalable impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience with Python and TypeScript.
• Experience designing automated workflows and AI-driven solutions.
• Proven API integration experience with enterprise systems.
• Ability to translate operational needs to technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record shipping software quickly in fast-changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Shadow client teams to identify pain points and priorities.
• Design solutions including automation, AI agents, or integrations, with scoping.
• Build and integrate solutions with TMS/WMS/ERP systems.
• Prototype and ship automation, including shipment tracking and onboarding flows.
• Tune prompts and agent behavior using production data and edge cases.
• Identify security, compliance, and infra requirements early.
• Translate learnings back to product and create reusable platform capabilities.
