OpenAI is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to build and deploy AI systems for legal work, embedding with senior practitioners to prototype solutions and prove measurable value.

You will own the work from discovery through production adoption, translating customer workflows into clear product feedback and turning successful deployments into repeatable patterns that scale across larger accounts and the broader legal market.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering or ML engineering with customer-facing ownership.
• Experience with legal tech or regulated industries is helpful but not required.
• Experience deploying end-to-end AI/data-driven systems in production.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customers to identify high-value use cases and prototype solutions.
• Build full-stack systems delivering customer value and learnings.
• Guide adoption and translate workflows into product feedback.
• Create repeatable deployment patterns for large accounts.
