Job summary

Nscale is seeking an Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our Narvik-based AI datacenter team. You will ensure the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our data center infrastructure, solving complex problems with ambiguity while building relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.

You will design automation, monitor power and cooling, and respond to incidents in a fast-moving, ownership-driven environment.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in data centre environments as an operator, technician or engineer.
Expertise in server administration, virtualization, and networking protocols.
Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Python).
Advanced technical certifications

Responsibilities

Shift-based work in our AI Datacenters.
Monitor and maintain critical systems like power, cooling, and network connectivity.
Handle escalated customer support issues, providing solutions aligned with business SLA requirements.
Design and implement automation scripts and tools to optimize processes.
Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents and recommend long-term fixes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for capacity planning and infrastructure optimization.
Flexibility to work shifts, respond to critical incidents during out of business hours, and be on-call as required.
Ability to adapt to customer-driven demands, such as providing specialist support after core business hours.
