Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Builder Product Manager, AI & Data Science to own the last mile from problem framing to business-validated results. You will be measured by business outcomes, not just model delivery, and will work in a hybrid setup in Northridge, CA or Atlanta, GA.

The role requires strong technical fluency in AI/ML, collaboration across stakeholders, and leadership through influence without direct reports. Emphasis on responsible-AI in a regulated medical-device environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years in data/analytics product management, data science, or a related technical‑business role.
• Advanced degree with 2+ years in the experience above.
• Experience and ownership of AI/ML initiatives through to a measured business outcome, not just model delivery.
• Ability to influence without authority across business and technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, data governance, and audit constraints.
• Experience embedding with a business unit as a data-science partner or leading a cross-functional pod/squad as an outcome-owning product owner.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end outcomes for a portfolio of AI and data science initiatives with business-validated ROI.
• Shape demand from business partners across Commercial, Marketing, Manufacturing & Quality, and Support.
• Drive feature and data-source ideation; expand signals to improve model value.
• Coordinate business, data scientists, and data engineers to move use cases forward.
• Validate models against business KPIs and measurable value.
• Provide leadership through influence for a cross-functional pod; ensure dependencies are managed without direct reports.
• Apply responsible-AI practices in a regulated medical-device environment.
