Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Senior AI/Data Science Engineer to advance our cloud data infrastructure for manufacturing, support root-cause analysis with advanced analytics, and deliver AI-driven solutions across manufacturing, supply chain, and NPI. This hybrid role supports offices in Northridge, CA, or St.

Louis Park, MN, onsite 3 days per week with 2 days remote. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data science or ML engineering within manufacturing or related industries, strong Python/SQL skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of applied data science or machine learning engineering experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial operations.
• Familiarity with MES and ERP data structures.
• Proficient in Python for data science and ML development; libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to maturation of manufacturing data pipelines and partner with data engineering teams to drive changes.
• Deliver measurable improvements by turning data into governed insights and authoritative metrics.
• Provide advanced analytics for root-cause investigations with statistical rigor.
• Identify opportunities for AI/ML integration across manufacturing, supply chain, and NPI functions.
• Be the data science partner to operations, mentoring and expanding reusable tooling.
