Itron invites you to join its AI Enablement & Strategy team as an AI Data Science Intern in Austin, TX. You will explore AI-driven HR analytics, support agent training, and help operationalize AI workflows with emphasis on learning and responsible data use.

You will work across HR, IT, and analytics partners to build dashboards, visualize insights, and document approaches for knowledge sharing in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a related degree program (Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics).
• Intermediate skills in Python, R, or similar programming languages, with exposure to data analysis or data science workflows.
• Basic understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, such as model training, evaluation, or automation.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset, with interest in learning how AI is responsibly applied in business.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, testing, and supervised deployment of AI-agent-driven solutions that support HR processes.
• Support data preparation, cleaning, and exploratory analysis of HR datasets.
• Contribute to training, evaluation, and continuous improvement of AI agents, including data annotation.
