Job summary

BDO is seeking a Microsoft Purview & AI Data Security Architect to lead client advisory engagements and solution delivery. You will scope and design governance, privacy, and security controls across Microsoft Purview, Defender, Entra ID, and Copilot to enable secure AI adoption and data protection.

The role partners with executives to deliver measurable outcomes, manage budgets, and mentor teams within BDO’s AI & Data Governance offerings. Travel to client sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s preferred in IS, Cybersecurity, CS, or Data Management.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity, data governance, data protection, compliance, with Microsoft cloud and AI focus.
• 3+ years in designing or architecting cyber security data protection and information governance solutions.
• 2+ years leading discovery, architecture, or governance workstreams; client-facing consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead client advisory engagements and service delivery in Microsoft Purview, DLP, DSPM, and AI governance.
• Translate governance, privacy, security, and compliance into scalable Microsoft solutions.
• Deliver roadmaps, policies, controls, and remediation plans for data protection and governance.
• Coach teams, contribute to solution development, and support pursuits through scoping and design.
