Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a Microsoft Purview & AI Data Security Architect to lead advisory engagements and service delivery, focusing on data protection, governance, and AI security across Microsoft technologies. The role requires strong client relationships and deep expertise in Purview, Defender, Entra ID, and related platforms.

Responsibilities include scoping, design, and enablement activities, delivering practical roadmaps and controls, and mentoring teams while contributing to BDO’s AI

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity, data governance, and compliance with Microsoft cloud focus.
• 3+ years designing, implementing, or architecting data protection and DLP controls.
• 2+ years leading technical discovery, architecture, or governance workstreams.
• 2+ years of professional consulting in client-facing advisory.
• Experience with regulated industries and translating governance requirements into technical controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead client advisory engagements and solution architecture efforts.
• Deliver governance frameworks, roadmaps, and remediation plans.
• Translate governance and security requirements into scalable Microsoft solutions.
• Mentor teams and contribute to internal solution development.
• Travel to client sites as needed for engagements.
