Job summary

Fisher Phillips seeks a Manager, AI and Data Governance Operations to drive responsible AI adoption and information management across the firm. You will coordinate governance activities with Innovation, IT, Security, Privacy, and business owners, ensuring policies, controls, and reviews are aligned with risk and legal requirements.

You will lead assessments, coordinate evidence and remediation efforts, and manage IG staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Business, Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience
• Five+ years of progressively responsible experience in information governance, data governance, information protection, or related tech operations
• Experience translating IG requirements into practical processes and working with IT on controls
• Working knowledge of enterprise AI services, connectors, agents, data flows, access models, and information lifecycle risks
• Experience coordinating cross-functional reviews and managing staff or operational work with clear communication

Responsibilities

• Coordinate AI governance procedures and policy updates with functional owners and document responsibilities
• Coordinate reviews of AI tools, connectors, agents, integrations, and material changes within intake and delivery processes
• Engage stakeholders early to identify requirements and align review timelines with project priorities
• Agree on remediation owners, completion criteria, and dates; track progress and elevate unresolved findings
• Document requirements and accountable owners with General Counsel and others
• Develop reusable review criteria with owners to ensure timely assessments
• Manage IG staff and perform assessments, evidence reviews, and issue resolution
• Coordinate governance evidence for client inquiries, audits, and outside counsel reviews
• Monitor AI governance developments and recommend updates with SMEs
• Support Innovation’s adoption efforts by resolving information governance requirements
