Job summary

Karman is hiring a hands-on Technician to support deployment, integration, testing, and operation of high-density AI/HPC electrical infrastructure. This role bridges electrical infrastructure, HPC/data center deployment, pilot/pre-production systems, and engineering support in Ann Arbor, MI.

The ideal candidate will work across rack-level power systems, pilot builds, lab infrastructure, and field installations, collaborating with hardware engineering to debug, validate, and document repeatable

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical theory and 3‑phase power distribution (208V/480V).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and documentation.
• Proficiency in cable management and structured wiring.
• Experience in prototype, pilot, or NPI environments.
• Hardware integration, debug support, and strong troubleshooting mindset.
• Proficient with hand tools and mechanically inclined.
• Basic electronics soldering skills.
• Takes ownership of work and demonstrates good problem solving skills.
• Curious and continuous learner; team-first mindset.
• Strong communication skills and pride in craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with rack-level power integration for AI/HPC systems.
• Build and modify rack power distribution systems.
• Perform cable routing, wire mapping, and documentation.
• Support mechanical/electrical integration within racks.
• Assist with rack deployments at local and remote sites.
• Coordinate with data center / colo operators during installs.
• Support pilot/pre‑production builds transitioning from engineering into deployment.
• Assist with system bring‑up, debugging, and validation testing.
• Help develop repeatable build and test processes.
• Identify integration issues prior to production scaling.
• Support HW engineering teams during iterative development.
