The Product Manager for Rovo Chat will own vision, strategy, and delivery of AI-powered conversational experiences across Atlassian’s product suite, with a focus on adoption, quality, and responsible AI principles.

The role emphasizes cross-functional execution with engineering, data science, design, and GTM teams to ship features from ideation through launch, while measuring success and balancing user value

Qualifications

• 3-5 years as a Product Manager or in a similar role with exposure to AI/ML-powered products, conversational systems, or search experiences.
• Uses AI tools daily to draft specs, analyze data, synthesize research, create prototypes, and unblock decisions.
• Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts including LLMs, RAG pipelines, and conversational systems.
• Experience building and scaling SaaS products, ideally in collaboration, productivity, or developer tooling domains.
• Strong communication and influencing skills across customers, engineering, design, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and articulate the product vision and roadmap for Rovo Chat in line with Atlassian's AI strategy.
• Identify opportunities to grow chat adoption and engagement (MAU) and align with business outcomes.
• Drive the development of intelligent chat experiences across Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and external sources.
• Advance multi-turn conversation quality, context awareness, memory, and proactive assistance.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, data science, GTM, and enterprise teams from ideation to launch.
• Establish shiprooms, track action items, and enforce deadlines and quality bars.
• Define and monitor success metrics for chat quality, adoption, and user satisfaction.
• Champion responsible AI practices with safe, transparent, and inclusive experiences.
